Zine: NYC
I recently took a solo trip to NYC. This is the second time I’ve done so, but this time my purpose was to stay in Manhattan and visit some art museums. I found myself experiencing the city in a very different way than I had before (this is often the case when traveling solo). I was able to observe and distill my thoughts, and the resulting text functions as an ode to the experience of doing so in a city that is constantly demanding your attention be elsewhere.
I also walked nearly everywhere I went. Staying in NoMad, this was relatively easy since I was central to the museums uptown and the restaurants and bars down in the East and West Villages. Building off of the fact that NYC is a grid, I mapped out my stops and paths each day, showing where I doubled over, circled around, and wandered aimlessly.
This piece explores human choreography and collective movement — how being in the density of the city alters identity.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Make it stand out.
