Zine: Paris

There is so much to write about Paris. It’s a city like no other – alive with dynamic energy and history, capable of inspiring both deep admiration and disdain. I loved Paris from the moment I emerged from the metro stairs – the way I was immediately engulfed by the city, like Dorothy stepping from sepia into color. It was a place that both met and exceeded my expectations. It looked just like the pictures, only more alive, more hand-crafted, more real.

It was bustling with people and culture, embodying a kind of urban life that younger American cities can only attempt to imitate. I found the people wonderful, the food fantastic, the art transformative, and the city itself irresistible.

My favorite morning was the one I spent alone – for the first time in seven days – on my way to the Musée de l’Orangerie before departing the next day. In that solitude, the city shifted. Everything felt more beautiful, more poetic. The quiet of the Tuileries, the peace of the Water Lilies exhibition, still live in my mind months later.

This piece reflects on the spaces we inhabit, leave, and re-enter through memory.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Make it stand out.
